I graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1988. After graduation, I was offered scholarships to play volleyball and basketball at Peru State College. Basketball, being my true love at the time, and upon the advice of my college basketball coach, I decided to forego the volleyball scholarship and just play basketball. I graduated from PSC in 1992 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and an endorsement in coaching. I was hired that June by Milligan Public School as a combination third and fourth grade classroom teacher and the assistant girls' basketball coach. In 1993, Bob and I were married in Tecumseh. That same year, I became the head girls' basketball coach. In 1994, Jacob was born, and I decided to give up coaching. In 1996 I earned a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction through Doane College. Zachary was born a year later, in 1997. I am currently taking principalship classes through Concordia College. I will graduate next fall. I have had the privilege of being the assistant volleyball coach for the past six years.
